freedoms that shape our democracy! We’re looking for individuals to assist with a variety of
tasks that support the museum’s operations and mission.
Responsibilities May Include:
● Assisting with entry-level administrative tasks.
● Giving tours to visitors and sharing the museum’s story.
● Supporting research efforts for exhibits and programs.
● Participating in other projects and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
● Enthusiasm for the First Amendment and its significance.
● A willingness to learn and contribute to the museum’s work.
● Flexible availability to assist on an occasional or regular basis.

The First Amendment Museum is looking for a volunteer Education Specialist to deliver our
online programming to middle and high school students, now remotely from your home
computer, or on site at the Museum at 184 State Street in Augusta, Maine.

Volunteer Opportunity: Cat Care and Enrichment Volunteer:
The First Amendment Museum is seeking enthusiastic animal lovers to provide care and
enrichment for our two beloved museum cats, Miss Liberty and Remi. These feline
ambassadors thrive on companionship, playful interactions, and plenty of compliments about
their beauty!
Responsibilities:
● Spend quality time with Miss Liberty and Remi at the museum, engaging in activities
such as petting, playing with toys, and general companionship.
● Provide minor grooming assistance to keep them looking their best.
● Ensure they feel loved and enriched during your visits.
Requirements:
● A commitment of at least one day per week.
● A love for cats and a gentle, patient demeanor.
